Pregnancy is such a wonderful time in a person’s life, and while you are counting down the days till your baby gets here, it’s important to understand that there are so many exciting things to do over the next nine months. We know that the transition may take a while to get used to, but we want you to know that there are still plenty of fun things to do while pregnant, it’s just a matter of finding things that you enjoy and feel comfortable doing. As your due date gets closer, you might not always feel comfortable getting out of the house or doing things that are active, but there are plenty of ways to stay busy and have fun during this special time. Today we are sharing some of the best ways to help you pass time as you wait for your little one to arrive!

1. Head To The Movies

It’s a great time to catch up on all the movies you’ve been meaning to see. You can go as often as you want, but if you’re feeling tired or sick, don’t push yourself.

If there are any movies that you really want to see and would be too uncomfortable watching in a theater, try checking out the updated collections on your favorite streaming platform. And if you’re still having trouble deciding which movie to watch, try watching one of these lists:

2. Pamper Yourself

If you’re feeling stressed and tense, a pregnancy massage can be a great way to relax. Massages can help relieve stress and tension in the body, which is especially important during pregnancy because it helps prevent cramps by releasing built-up tension in muscles. Massage has other benefits, like helping you sleep better and increasing energy levels. So if you feel super tired but don’t want to take a nap, try getting a massage!

3. Travel Somewhere New

Traveling is a great way to keep busy while pregnant, just make sure you feel comfortable enough to do so. Pregnancy is a delicate time in your body and mind, and traveling to some place new before the baby arrives can be a fun and creative experience for you and your partner.

4. Go Shopping

If you’re having trouble finding things to do, why not go and treat yourself a little? Buying a treat for yourself can be an excellent way of making your pregnancy more exciting. Plus, once the baby gets here, this isn’t something that you will get to do often.

For example:

  • Buy something that is a treat for yourself (e.g., chocolate)
  • Buy something that you have been wanting to buy but never got around to it (e.g., new shoes)
  • Buy yourself a nice dinner

5. Read a Book

You’re going to have a lot of questions while you’re pregnant, so it’s good to start reading early. The best thing to do is read books related to pregnancy and parenting. Books about your baby’s development are also great as they will give you a better idea of what your child is experiencing at each stage of their life and how they are growing and learning. You can find out some things about the gender and personality traits during pregnancy as well. While you’re doing research on parenting, consider doing research on newborn stem cell banking and whether or not that is something you want to include in your birthing plan.

6. Relax

One of the best things you can do while pregnant is relax. There are so many things in life that can be stressful and overwhelming, but taking a bubble bath is one way to make yourself feel calm, relaxed, and more at ease.

Taking a bath with essential oils is one of the best ways to relax as a pregnant woman because it helps in more ways than one. Essential oils are known for their relaxing effects on the body and mind – being pregnant means your hormones are already running wild, so any extra help you can get when it comes to calming down will be much appreciated!

If you’re not big into baths but still want some relaxation time? Try getting a massage! Massages don’t just feel good because of all of their benefits (pain reduction being one), but also because they help relieve stress throughout the body.

7. Attend a Workshop or Class

Attending a workshop or class specifically for pregnant women, is a great way to learn more about your experience and connect with other pregnant women.

Not only is it a great way to meet friends and be around people who understand, it’s a great way to have discussions and compare notes on how your bodies are changing during this amazing time in your life. Many women see it as almost a support group.

8. Host a Get Together At Your Place

You could invite friends and family over to your place. It’ll be fun for everyone, but especially you! Here are some of the best ideas for a little shindig at your home:

  • Have a potluck dinner party. It’s easy to do when you’re pregnant because all you have to do is prepare some side dishes and snacks—no cooking required!
  • Host a movie night. Pick out your favorite movies or watch something new together (there are so many great movies out right now).
  • Play games during game night at home: Cards Against Humanity or Uno are both fun games that don’t require too much movement on your part.
  • Have a craft night—this keeps things creative while also being physical activity-friendly since it doesn’t involve moving around much (unless there’s crafting involved). One idea is making bracelets together by tying yarn or string onto wooden beads.

9. Plant a Garden

This is a great activity to do with the kids, or your partner if you are a first-time parent.

When it comes to food, most people think that they need to go out and buy it at the store. But with gardening, you can grow your own fruits and vegetables right in your own backyard!

Growing your own food can also save money on groceries, which is great for when you’re pregnant as well as after the baby is born. Plus it’s nice knowing exactly where the food came from!

You’ll learn about gardening too! Even if you’ve never grown anything before, there are lots of resources out there that can help teach anyone how to plant a vegetable garden from scratch (or even start small with things like herbs). Not to mention, gardening can be very relaxing and rewarding.

10. Try Meditation, Yoga, Or Tai Chi.

Meditation, yoga, and tai chi are all great for stress relief. You can do them at home or even find a class specifically for pregnant women. They can be done by yourself or with your partner. These activities will help you feel more grounded and relaxed, which is helpful when your body feels like it’s changing so much during pregnancy—and afterwards! All three of these types of exercise have been shown to have other benefits as well: meditation may improve symptoms related to anxiety and depression; yoga helps reduce stress; tai chi has been found to lower blood pressure after just one session!

Takeaway

Well there ya have it; 10 of the most creative things to do while pregnant. Once the baby is born, there will be plenty of activities to keep you busy, but in the meantime, we hope that you can enjoy some of the ideas on this list.
