Have you ever planned a family vacation and when you arrived you realized the location is less than “family friendly?” Nothing like trying to find activities for the kids to do in a place where it seems like no child has visited in the past 50 years. Of course, adult time is out of the question! To help prevent this from happening, we have compiled a list of family friendly vacations. Here is a link to do more research for yourself to decide which vacation is best for your family. Do you have a favorite family vacation spot? Let us know in the comments section. Happy vacation planning!
Atlantis Resort – Paradise Island, Bahamas
Planned with families in mind, Atlantis resort recreated the lost civilization of Atlantis. It comes complete with an aquarium, restaurants, multiple pools and lagoons, waterslides through the shark pool, stingray swimming, and beaches.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Orlando, Florida
Disney is on every family’s list of vacations to take. Most families, however, leave out Animal Kingdom on their list of things to do. Disney’s Animal Kingdom gives you the experience of an African safari without ever having to leave the United States (and without the African safari pricetag!). If you stay at the lodge on the property you can even get a room that overlooks the savannah.
Club Med Ixtapa – Ixtapa, Mexico
Club Med in Ixtapa Mexico has more visitors under the age of 11 than adult visitors! There are clubs to entertain the children in your party while parents have some alone time. There is also a kids-only dining area. While the children are busy with outdoor activities and shows, the parents can take part in the adult activities such as scuba, archery, kayaking, and more!
